Ian Rosenberger, Emerging Media & Business Development
irosenberger@strategicimages.com

Ian comes from Pittsburgh, PA, where he grew up on a little horse farm with his Dad, Mom, and sister Kahla. He has a big, loud, in-your-face extended family, that when left alone long enough, will begin roasting a lamb and playing polkas wherever they find themselves (Think taller, fatter “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”) They are the biggest and best part of Ian’s life. Last January, Ian’s dad Tony was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a particularly aggressive strain of cancer.  Much of his free time since then has been devoted to family and charity causes that help fight the disease.

Rosenberger spent his college years at Penn State University, where he majored in Agricultural Extension Education with an emphasis on Leadership. Say that five times fast. He was active in Penn State’s Outing Club, Gospel Choir, and Music Theater. He was also the University’s Undergraduate Student Body President and Penn State’s Homecoming King. He is a member of the Lion’s Paw and Parmi Nous Senior Honor societies, and worked as a rock climbing guide, whitewater canoeing instructor, EMT/ambulance driver, and waiter to keep busy.  His proudest college moment came from participating in Penn State’s Dance Marathon, the world’s largest student-run philanthropy, where he and 600 other Penn Staters did not sit or sleep for 48 hours in an effort to raise over 4 million dollars for pediatric cancer research.

After school, Rosenberger took his first job as a dolphin trainer and dolphin-assisted therapist at Island Dolphin Care, a facility for children with disabilities in Key Largo, Florida. He has previously been employed as an outdoor adventure group dynamics facilitator, wedding disc jockey, street performer at Walt Disney World, lifeguard, and construction worker. Ian is also an Eagle Scout, NAUI SCUBA certified, and has two jumps in his skydive logbook. In 2006 he ran his first ultra-thon in Cape Town, South Africa, a 36-mile endurance race to raise awareness for AIDS education in Africa. He was also a contestant on CBS Survivor: Palau, where he placed third. He’s spent extensive time hitchhiking and traveling Alaska, the Caribbean, Africa, and the South Pacific.

Ian has most recently produced and hosted television programming for MTV, FC Fox, and The Women's Entertainment Network and the Discovery Channel. He has produced and shot content all over the United States, Great Britain, Finland and south-central Africa with the likes of Tiger Woods, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Johnny Knoxville and The Jackass Crew. He believes strongly in the value of pushing the limits of traditional television into new arenas and mediums.  Intelligent, exciting programming is held above all else…bonus if it really gets you dirty and your blood pumping. He aspires to jumping out of airplanes, skiing down mountains, and diving to the bottom of the oceans in pursuit of the next great story.
